Planning a trip to Yosemite!
My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Yosemite National Park. It will be in two weeks. We wanted to go camping so we thought we would try somewhere new. we both have been wanting to go years but never really committed to it until a week ago when it was my boyfriends birthday. He's been dying to go camping and our friends are so busy with getting married, graduating school, work that no one could make it that we decided that we would go on road trip ourselves. I'm super excited and nervous because it will be the longest trip we have every taken together. We need to make sure we plan everything well. Especially since were camping there and there's a lot of bears in Yosemite.

So this last week I seriously burned my leg. 2nd degree burn, absolutely horrible. My blisters are popping and reforming. My skin is now pink in areas the skin peeled off. The burn takes up most of upper leg. Though good news is that its healing well now for the most part and is not as painful. My biggest concern is infection but again no sign of infection. I have to keep the area clean. I was taking out a pot roast out of the oven, and put too much beef broth into my pan to begin with. The hot broth feel onto leg instantly taking off the first layer of skin. I think it will be a while before I make another pot roast.

Beer Thirty
This weekend I went to Santa Cruz with my boyfriends family to grab a couple beers and go out to dinner. Our dinner later in the evening was all right but what I really enjoyed was this pour house in santa cruz. They had a variety of beers on tap and a ton of speciality bottled beers. What I loved about this poor house other than the beer is that they put a lot of love into ambiance. You can play darts, bean bag toss, ping pong, and is super dog friendly. Our family had a great time playing games and drinking beer. If your looking to have some fun go there.

Bible school
I work at private christian preschool and this is my first time helping out with their bible school. They offer a "camp" that lasts one week during the summer. Where we play games and teach kids about god. Its new to me teaching around a Christian curriculum, but it went really well. Yesterday didn't go that well. Because it wasnt as organized as it was today. Preschoolers are fun to teach but at times they can definitely stress you out.

4th of July
Todays the 4th of July, and I'm ready for a BBQ/fireworks. Yesterday my boyfriend's family had a BBQ were we sang the national anthem. It was pretty funny. My boyfriends family is very patriotic and religious. At my fathers BBQ we'll probably just eat some food and play board games. Though I'm not sure where we're going to see fireworks. Fireworks are my favorite part of the 4th, as well as being a paid holiday at my work. I hope everyone has a good 4th.

My dog Nash,
My dog Nash is the greatest .He's a West Highland White Terrier (Westie). He is 16 years old, blind, deaf, and diabetic. His breed of dog was originally made to tunnel to hunt small animals. He has a great vocabulary.By great vocabulary I mean he can understand a lot of words. For example-"walk", which we try not to say too loud in the house.
Sometimes I wonder how he gets around our house. He's constantly bumping into things but still knows how to navigate the house fairly well. He's a loving dog that likes to cuddle, play, and get dirty. He's great dog and a great friend.
